ABOUT

Originally from Sydney, Chris has spent the last decade moving between Perth, Mexico, London, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. Throughout this period he has obsessively compiled visual diaries, creating them from physical memories (in the form of detritus) found across his travels.

A student of visual arts at the National Art School (Sydney) and RMIT (Melbourne), Chris’s studio practice matured during his time in Adelaide. He has exhibited in several group shows, including Give A Trunk at Monster Children, Sydney, and the SAFARI programme as a sideline to the 2010 Sydney Biennale, where his work was purchased by ARTBANK to join their permanent collection. Chris has also had two recent solo shows at China Heights Gallery, Sydney, in 2009 and 2010, with another to come later this year.

Chris is also, alongside his wife Kara, one half of the creative duo behind A Happy Death.
